How to Sell Your Boat with Mahogany Bay.

First, send us photos of your boat. Take lots of photos: inside, outside, engine, upholstery, trim, trailer (if applicable). We accept digital photos via email to sales@mahoganybay.net You can send prints to our mailing address: 2642 Commerce Blvd, Mound, MN, 55364.
Include a detailed description of your boat, work already completed, and your price. From this information, we'll respond within a few days. If we think we have a potential fit, we have two ways to proceed:
- We can make you an offer to buy your boat outright. This is the quickest way to sell your boat, but to commit our capital, we need an upside to our investment. We have to buy at wholesale.
- We can set up an exclusive listing agreement. We have buyers across the country, as well as internationally. If you wish to list with us, we first arrange for transportation of your boat to our facilities. You are welcome to deliver it yourself, or we can arrange transportation. To learn more about our transportation expertise and services, click here. Once your boat arrives at our facility, we perform a comprehensive evaluation of your boat. This includes structural, mechanical and systems examinations. This allows all interested parties - you, us, and potential buyers - to understand the specific strengths as well as potential issues with your boat so we can accurately represent your boat. Our evaluation process usually takes between four and twelve hours to accomplish, and is billed to you at our regular shop rate (currently $80/hour). The results of the evaluation help us prepare a true listing agreement for your approval. This agreement details the equipment included with the boat, all pertinent hull and serial numbers, and the net price you will receive upon the successful completion of a sale. We charge a monthly service, marketing and storage fee of $100 while your boat is with us. We will first present your boat to our preferred customers, then list your boat on our web site. We also include it in our advertising, and personally represent your boat through individual showings with potential buyers.
