Trailers
Trailers are another often overlooked aspect of a restoration project. Once a boat is restored, it's important to care for it properly, including making sure it is properly supported on its' trailer. The keel and the chines must be supported, and it usually doesn't work to just set the boat on the trailer and go. We have a good bit of experience modifying trailers to provide the needed support, whether it's a brand new trailer, or not. Another aspect of the trailer issue is making the trailer as easy as possible to load. We have developed a system of uprights for the aft end of the trailer, and a wide bow catch at the forward end. This system provides an almost foolproof in-water loading experience. Boat landings can be daunting, pressure-packed places; we take the anxiety out of the equation!
